What is self love?
Well, if we go by the definition, self love is a state of appreciation for oneself that grows from actions that support our physical, psychological, and spiritual growth. Self-love means having a high regard for your own well-being and happiness.
Do you love your parents? Your friends? Your partner?
I’m sure many of us love someone or the other in our life. The question that exists, though, is how much do we love ourselves?
Do you love yourself more than you love someone else? Or maybe equal to somebody else?
It’s not bad that you love the people that are around you. Not at all. But at least love yourself equally.
Yes, the love we all deserve for ourselves. For just being us. Whatever we are, howsoever we got there.
Self Love is equally important as anything. How can we expect someone else to love us if we cannot love ourselves first?
Anger, guilt, happiness, joy. These are emotions we feel when something happens. Self love is something that should be constant, even if we are angry or feeling some other emotion.
Don’t sell yourself short. Stop comparing. Don’t douse yourself in guilt or sadness. You are you, and that’s the most important power you have. Start believing in yourself. And most of all, start loving yourself.
