Monthly Movie Review: March

March was quite an interesting month for me when it came to movie time. I finally got around to watching two movies, out of which one had been on my watchlist for a while. And I must say, both were worth the watch! Here’s my take on them:

1. Hidden Figures
My Rating: 9/10

If you haven’t watched Hidden Figures yet, it’s high time you do. This movie took me on an emotional rollercoaster. Set in the 1960s, it’s based on the inspiring true story of three brilliant African-American women working at NASA — Katherine Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan, and Mary Jackson. The way it sheds light on the racial and gender discrimination of that era while celebrating their groundbreaking achievements is truly remarkable.
The performances? Simply outstanding! The visuals and authentic 60s vibes made it feel even more real. Highly recommend it if you’re into inspiring historical dramas.

2. The Diplomat
My Rating: 8/10

Next up was The Diplomat, a gripping political thriller that kept me hooked from start to finish. With its sleek narrative and intense plot, the film brings out the complexities of diplomatic relations in a high-stakes environment.
The performances were sharp, and the cinematography was absolutely stunning. It’s one of those movies that makes you think about the realities behind the polished surface of diplomacy. If you enjoy political dramas or movies with a dose of suspense, The Diplomat is definitely for you.

Both movies made my March movie sessions worthwhile. Have you watched any of these? Or do you have movie recommendations for me? Drop your suggestions in the comments — I’m always up for a good film!

Stay tuned for next month’s watchlist update. Until then, happy watching!
