August literally flew by.
Mini trips, festivals, birthdays, reunions, and of course, more books that I read. Somehow, the month started and before I knew it, we were already at the end of it. Not that I am complaining, because August was actually quite a full month.
Felt like I had no time left on hand to sit idle at all. In fact, it was more of a lack of time than anything else. There was always something to do, somewhere to go, someone to meet, or a book waiting to be read.
This month, I also tried to focus a little more on health and lifestyle. I changed my diet, started being more mindful about what I was eating and, surprisingly, I have been feeling much more active throughout the day. It is funny how small changes can sometimes make such a noticeable difference.
And then there is cooking. I am slowly learning to cook more, which is both exciting and slightly dangerous for everyone involved. But I have actually started enjoying the process. There is something quite nice about making your own food and knowing exactly what went into it.
August also had its fair share of books, because apparently no month is complete without adding a few more books to the never-ending TBR pile. I read, browsed bookstores, added more books to my collection and, as usual, convinced myself that this time I will not buy another book until I finish the ones I already have. We all know how that goes.
Looking back at my August photo dump, I realise it wasn’t really about one big event. It was about all these small things put together. A little travel. A little celebration. A lot of food. Some books. Some cooking experiments. And plenty of moments in between.
August may have been busy, but it was also one of those months where I felt like I was actually doing things rather than simply watching the days go by.
Time really does fly when you are busy living it.
