Out of the 17 books I read this month, four stood out — the ones I’d recommend to every romance lover without blinking.

This is the first book that I have read by Mariana Zapata. Let me say this upfront: this book is slow. Like, slow slow. But if you stick around, it’s soworth it. Vanessa and Aiden’s story builds gradually — no sudden sparks, just steady warmth that turns into a fire. The writing is emotional, realistic, and filled with moments that make you root for both of them individually before you root for them as a couple. If you’re looking forromance books that focus on character development more than insta-love, this is your next weekend read. Don’t rush — just let it simmer.

SEP just gets it. She always knows how to take complicated people, toss them together, and somehow make it magic. What I Did for Love is dramatic, hilarious, and just the right amount of messy. Georgie and Bram have this ex-lovers-to-reluctant-partners vibe going on, and I loved every chaotic second. If you love your romance novels with humour, emotional growth, and a splash of Hollywood glitz — add this to your list immediately.

Kristen Ashley does drama like no one else. Heaven and Hell is raw, emotional, and filled with real pain and healing. Sam and Kia are both beautifully broken in their own ways, and their journey is equal parts painful and hopeful. Also — shoutout to the travel settings in this one, made me want to pack a suitcase ASAP. This book is for anyone who wants romantic suspense with redemption arcs and a story that stays with you after the last page.

Morally grey hero? Check. Feisty banter? Check. Spicy plotline with just the right amount of emotional tension? Big check. The Pucking Wrong Number gave me everything I wanted from a sports romance — and then some. The anonymous texting trope? Always a win. This one’s for readers who love hockey romance books with heat, heart, and a hint of chaos.

July was a wild ride. From broody football players to emotionally scarred heroes and glamorous celebrity drama — I couldn’t have asked for a more satisfying lineup. If you’re looking for book recommendations for romance lovers, these four are guaranteed to tug at your heart (and possibly steal your sleep).
