Because tucking in your top 37 times a day is a workout nobody signed up for.
Let’s be real—bodysuits are one of those fashion inventions that quietly crept into our wardrobes and made themselves very useful. Sleek, tucked-in, and zero bunching at the waistline? Yes, please! Welcome to Chapter 26 of the What to Wear series, where today we’re diving into the magic of styling bodysuits—that ultra-flattering, low-maintenance wonder we once thought only models wore (spoiler: they’re for all of us).
So, if you’re staring at that bodysuit hanging in your closet and wondering how not to look like you’re headed to a gymnastics competition, I’ve got you covered.
1. With High-Waisted Jeans
This is a classic for a reason. Pair a fitted bodysuit with high-waisted jeans (skinny, flared, mom-fit—pick your poison), and you’re instantly looking like you put in effort. Add hoops and heels for date night, or sneakers and a scrunchie for coffee runs. A forever combo.

2. With Skirts
Bodysuits + skirts = match made in wardrobe heaven. Be it Midi, Maxi, or Mini, bodysuits will go with all of them. I personally love tucking a lace or ribbed bodysuit into a flowy midi skirt, and for those nights out, pair it with a leather mini or a sequinned number.

3. With Wide-Leg Trousers
Want to balance a fitted top with something floatier? Enter: wide-leg pants. This pairing gives off effortless glam while secretly being so comfy, you could nap in it. Add a belt and a sleek bun, and boom—ready.

4. With Shorts
A simple bodysuit paired with high-waist denim shorts is a summer staple. You can layer it with a kimono, shrug, or oversized shirt for a little more coverage (or just to look fancy).

5. Under Blazers or Sheer Tops
This is one of my favourite ways to use a basic bodysuit—almost like an invisible helper! Throw it under a power blazer or a sheer shirt, and you’re layering like a pro. Perfect for when you want just enough coverage but all the sass.

So there you have it—bodysuits are way more versatile than they look. Whether you’re dressing up or dressing down, they make styling easier, smoother, and honestly, way more flattering than some of those fussy blouses that just won’t stay in place.
Let me know which combo you’re trying next!
