Postcards from My Mini Vacation – Jaipur & Ranthambore

Sometimes, all you need is a quick getaway to reset—and that’s exactly what this mini vacation at Jaipur and Ranthambore turned out to be for me. Even though April isn’t the ideal month to explore the vibrant streets of Jaipur or venture into the wilds of Ranthambore (read: the heat was real), we still managed to soak in the beauty, culture, and calm these places had to offer. Let’s just say, I came back sun-kissed, slightly tanned, and very full—in the best way.

Quick mirror check before stepping out into the Pink City of Jaipur!
Say hello to the iconic Hawa Mahal! Even though I’d seen countless photos of it online, nothing quite prepares you for its grandeur in person. Jaipur’s heat didn’t dull this view one bit—absolutely worth it.
This one’s a favourite—twirling inside Hawa Mahal like I was in a Pinterest mood board! The architecture, the vibe, the doorways… Jaipur really knows how to charm you.
We took a little detour to the Chambal River, around 45 km from Ranthambore. And no, it’s not a lake as many people think —it’s the serene home of the National Chambal Gharial Sanctuary. We hopped on a boat ride to spot some and let’s just say… what a peaceful adventure.
We tried our luck at the Ranthambore Safari, hoping to spot a tiger—but luck wasn’t on our side this time. Still, the thrill of the jungle, the silence of the forest, and the stories from our guide made it all so worth it.

This trip was short, a little sweaty (thanks April!), but full of moments I’ll cherish. If you’re planning a Jaipur-Ranthambore itinerary, maybe avoid peak summer—but don’t skip it entirely. There’s so much colour, culture, and calm to experience in just a few days.

Until next time,
