Monthly TV Dramas Review: What I Watched in January

January has been an interesting month when it comes to binge-worthy dramas. From thrillers to heartfelt stories and some star-studded insights, my watchlist had a bit of everything. Here’s my take on the dramas I enjoyed (or didn’t) this month.

1. Gunaah

Where to Watch: Disney+ Hotstar
My Rating: 6/10

This drama is a thrilling ride from start to finish. With a plot that keeps you guessing, Gunaah has its share of twists and turns that will hook you right in. The performances are strong, and the story builds suspense in a way that makes it hard to stop at just one episode.

While I enjoyed the gripping narrative, I felt that certain subplots could have been explored in more depth. That being said, it’s definitely worth a watch if you’re in the mood for a crime drama that knows how to keep its audience on edge.

2. The Roshans

Where to Watch: Netflix
My Rating: 8/10

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to step into the lives of a star-studded family, The Roshans is for you. This series takes you behind the scenes into the personal and professional lives of the Roshan family, giving you an intimate glimpse of their challenges, triumphs, and family dynamics.

What I loved most was the authenticity—it didn’t feel overly scripted, which is rare for such shows. The combination of heartwarming moments and industry insights makes it a great pick for fans of slice-of-life stories.

3. Jafaa

Where to Watch: You Tube
My Rating: 9/10

Jafaa has been my absolute favorite this month. This Pakistani drama beautifully combines emotion, romance, and realism, making it a must-watch. The story had me hooked right from the start, especially with Dr. Numair setting serious husband goals early on.

However, the abrupt ending left me wanting more closure. Despite that, the drama’s overall impact and stellar performances made it unforgettable.

From crime thrillers to heartfelt family stories and romantic dramas, January’s watchlist was packed with variety. If I had to pick a favourite, Jafaa wins for its emotional depth, though The Roshans was equally engaging in its unique way.
