Holidays at Home

There’s something magical about spending the holidays at home, surrounded by the people who matter most. This year, I celebrated the year’s end, Christmas and New Year with my family—my parents, my in-laws, and, of course, my friends back home in Dehradun. And let me tell you, there’s nothing quite like the warmth of home to make the festive season truly special.

Dehradun, with its wintery chill and scenic beauty, provided the perfect backdrop for cozy celebrations. From indulging in homemade treats to exploring all the new cafés, every moment felt special. And let’s not forget the heartwarming laughter that echoed through the house as we enjoying get together and exchanged gifts.

Times like these makes us realise, it’s the simple things that matters the most. We don’t need extravagant plans to create unforgettable memories. Sitting around with family, bundled up in blankets, watching movies or making plans for the next day are moments that cannot be exchanged for anything. For me, this time at home reminded me of how life’s simplest pleasures often turn out to be the most precious.

Now that I am back at Bangalore, back to the life to make a living, I cannot wait to go back home again. Home sickness is real thing!

Here’s to starting 2025 on a high note! I’d love to hear how you celebrated your holidays—what made them special? Drop a comment or message and let’s share some festive cheer!
