You know that feeling when you step into a bookstore and all your self-control goes out the window? Yep, that was me at Blossom Book House the other day. This place is like heaven for readers—you’ll find new and second-hand books, and let me tell you, there’s something magical about hunting for hidden gems on those packed shelves.

Among my finds this time, there’s one book I absolutely couldn’t leave behind: “Just Listen” by Sarah Dessen. I read this gem years ago and instantly fell in love with it. Unfortunately, I lost my copy during one of our house moves (Yep, it happens to the best of us!). So, when I spotted this paperback on the shelves, I just had to have it. If you haven’t read it, this book is everything – poignant, relatable, and beautifully written. A must-read for anyone who enjoys contemporary YA fiction.

I also picked up “The Gift” by Julie Garwood, because who doesn’t love a mix of historical romance and adventure? Julie Garwood’s storytelling is so captivating—it’s like stepping into a different era entirely. (This will be my 9^th read from Julie Garwood)

Another find was “The Calhouns: Catherine, Amanda, and Lilah” by Nora Roberts. It’s no secret that Nora Roberts has a knack for weaving drama, romance, and family dynamics into unforgettable tales, and this one promises to be no different. Even though my last read, Time Was, by Nora Roberts was on bit of disappointment side, I am still willing to give this one a try.

Rounding out the haul are two more books:

“The Lion’s Lady” by Julie Garwood (because, yes, I’m on a Garwood spree), and

“The Power of Your Subconscious Mind” by Joseph Murphy, which I only bought because my husband insisted on it. He thinks that I cannot read anything other than romance.

I would have bought some more books if my husband wouldn’t have tagged along with me. Maybe next time!
